Week 4: Baltimore

Buffalo starting off the season with a 3-0 record. Face an underperforming Ravens team (1-2), in Baltimore for a Sunday night showdown.

The reigning MVP Lamar Jackson looks to carry his momentum into this week, after taking down Dallas last week, 28-25. Same goes for Ravens running back Derrick Henry, who exploded for 174 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Baltimore started off by scoring on their first offensive play of the night, where Derrick Henry ran for an 87 yard touchdown. The Ravens kept their foot on the gas and continued to score on their next two drives. Leading 21-3 at halftime. Buffalo looked flat on offence and couldn’t seem to get anything going in the passing game.

Getting off to a better start in the second half, Josh Allen scrambling outside the pocket and finding wide receiver Khalil Shakir for a 52 yard gain, into the Ravens red-zone. Then following up the massive play with a 3 yard touchdown run from Ty Johnson (running back).

Down by 11 points and momentum swinging their way, forcing a 3 and out on defence. It still ended up being a rough night for the Bills. Allowing three sacks and constant pressure on Josh Allen, the Bills just couldn’t get into a scoring rhythm. Buffalo also couldn’t find a way to stop the Ravens run game.

Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson looked like his MVP self, putting up three total touchdowns and leading the Ravens to a 35-10 win on home turf. Some of the biggest take aways from this game.

  • Baltimore breaking Buffalos 43 game streak of not losing by 6 or more points.
  • Josh Allen being held to 0 touchdowns for the first time since November 7th, 2021.
  • Derrick Henry totalling 209 yards and two touchdowns

Baltimore taking on the struggling Bengals (1-3) next week, looking to continue to rack up wins. Where as Buffalo is on the road again, facing the Houston Texans who have looked like a top team in the AFC. Im sure the media will hype up this game even more, knowing former Bills star receiver, Stefon Diggs will look to put on a show against his old team.
